The Uromastyx ornata , also called the ornate uromastyx , is a desert lizard belonging to the family Agamidae. It is native to the arid regions of the Middle East, notably Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.

 Color : variations of green, blue, yellow and red , more marked in males
 Special feature : Robust body with a spiny tail used for defense
 Longevity : 15 to 20 years in captivity
