  • Foliage: Its leaves are oval, slightly puckered, and have a unique pattern reminiscent of watermelon rind. They are generally pale gray-green in the center, bordered by a darker margin (olive green or brownish-purple). The underside of the leaves may be tinged with pink or purple.

  • Habit: This is a creeping, trailing plant that develops thin, flexible stems. This makes it an excellent choice for hanging baskets where its stems will cascade gracefully, or as a dense ground cover in terrariums.

  • Cultivation: It is relatively easy to care for. It prefers bright to medium indirect light and a substrate that remains slightly moist (but not soggy). It appreciates good ambient humidity.
