The Leachianus GT Cross gecko is a cross between different Grande Terre (GT) localities of the Rhacodactylus leachianus . These crosses are usually made to combine specific lines to optimize certain traits, such as larger size, more massive bone structure and more stable behavior .
 GTs are the largest leachianus, often heavier and more robust than the island forms. GT Crosses can exhibit variations in color, pattern, and body structure , depending on the lines selected. This type of crossbreeding produces individuals with good growth potential while retaining the desired characteristics of the different GT strains.
