The Purple Dwarf isopod ( Trichorhina tomentosa variety*)* is a small species of isopod used in terrarium keeping, particularly in bioactive environments. Similar to Dwarf White , this variety has a slightly purplish tint.
 Discreet and efficient, these isopods are excellent scavengers, helping to clean the substrate by consuming organic waste and mold. They thrive in a humid environment with soil rich in organic matter. Their small size and rapid reproduction make them an excellent choice for tropical terrariums and as prey for certain species of reptiles and amphibians.
