The Orange Blotch Gargoyle Gecko ( Rhacodactylus auriculatus ) is an impressive variant of this species native to New Caledonia. It is distinguished by rough skin and a characteristic head, with prominent "ears". Its color is dotted with bright orange spots (orange blotch) that create a striking contrast. This gecko measures between 20 and 25 cm and is mainly nocturnal, feeding on insects and fruit. It is quiet and requires a humid environment, with branches for climbing and moderate lighting to recreate its natural habitat.
