The Mniarogekko chahoua Pine Island is an island locality of the chahoua gecko , native to the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia. Compared to the Mainland form, it is generally smaller , but often more massive with a thicker tail and more uniform coloration, often in shades of green and brown.
 This gecko is prized for its docile temperament , its ability to adapt well in captivity , and its textured skin which provides excellent natural camouflage.
