Schedule and confirmations: The arrival and departure of the animal must be scheduled within the store's opening hours and be explicitly confirmed by the Fusion Reptiles team.
Condition of the animal and equipment: Detailed photos of the animal, the terrarium and all equipment are taken by the Fusion Reptiles team upon admission and departure to attest to their exact condition.
Transportation: The customer is solely responsible for arranging the transportation and pickup of their animal and equipment. Fusion Reptiles does not offer any delivery or pickup services except in rare cases specifically offered, validated, and confirmed in writing by the store.
Delays and overtime: The departure time must match the agreed-upon arrival time. Any unplanned delay or change in the departure date will automatically result in an additional day of childcare being charged at the regular rate of $34.99.
Right of refusal and biosecurity: Fusion Reptiles reserves the right to refuse access to any animal showing signs of illness, injury, distress or external parasites in order to preserve the biosecurity of its facilities.
Terrarium Adjustment and Hygiene: If the provided terrarium is deemed not to meet the species' biological standards or is too dirty, Fusion Reptiles will rectify the situation immediately. Any new products or glass from the shop's inventory (substrate or other) will be charged to the customer (extra fees and food). If the supplies or food provided by the customer are insufficient, or if the animal requires a fresh plant supply, the inventory or grocery fees will be added and charged exclusively to the customer.
Breakdown of customer-provided equipment: Any vital equipment (e.g., heat lamp, UVB, etc.) that stops working during the stay will be replaced immediately with a new product from the shop at the owner's expense.
Equipment Responsibility and Compliance: The client guarantees that all electrical equipment supplied is functional, safe, and compliant with standards. Fusion Reptiles undertakes to handle the equipment with care but cannot be held responsible for internal damage or unforeseen failures inherent to the client's equipment.
Right of Retention and Abandonment: No animal or equipment may leave the premises until the entire invoice (boarding fees, equipment, replacements, food, veterinary fees) has been paid in full. If the animal is not collected within 5 days of the scheduled departure date without written notification from the client, it will be officially considered abandoned. Fusion Reptiles will become the legal owner and may dispose of the animal at its discretion (adoption, transfer to a partner shelter, etc.), without this canceling the client's debt.
Medical Emergency and Care: In the event of a sudden deterioration in the animal's health, the Fusion Reptiles team will immediately contact the owner or their emergency contact. If these remain unreachable and the situation warrants it, the client expressly authorizes Fusion Reptile to transport the animal to a veterinarian specializing in exotic animals. All costs (consultation, treatment, medication, transport) will be borne exclusively and entirely by the client.
Limitation of Liability: Fusion Reptiles is committed to providing attentive and professional care according to herpetoculture standards. However, in the event of sudden illness, complications related to an undisclosed pre-existing condition, or natural death of the animal, the shop is released from all financial, legal, or moral liability.
